QuestionsPlanning a wedding at Tuckahoe Farm

Yes, you'll need a wedding planner

Every wedding at Tuckahoe Farm needs a professional planner or day-of coordinator. The farm is open land, not a banquet hall with staff on hand. Our venue coordinator will be on site, but your planner keeps the timeline on track, directs your vendors and handles setup and cleanup. That way the two of you can just enjoy the day.

Planning

Can we tour the property?

We'd love to show you around. Tours are by appointment, and Ryan will walk you through the ceremony spots, the pasture where the tent goes and the path down to the river. Call (219) 863-7822 or send an inquiry to set a time.

Do we have to use your preferred vendors?

Not at all. If you already have a caterer, photographer or band you love, bring them. For tents and rentals, our preferred partner is EventWorks, but it's completely your call.

Do you offer elopements or smaller weddings?

Yes. Some of the best days here are the small ones. Elopements and micro-weddings of up to about 30 guests are available Sunday through Thursday for about 4 hours, with the same pond, pasture and sunsets. See pricing.

How do we reserve our date?

Once you've toured the farm, you'll sign the agreement and pay a 50% deposit. After that, the date is yours.

The location fee

What's included?

Your location fee includes the wedding day plus the day before to set up, an on-site venue coordinator, your choice of ceremony locations, the green room in the barn for getting ready, a horse for your ceremony, our vintage camper photo booth, the wooden ceremony backdrop (flowers not included) and on-site parking. See pricing.

Is there a photo booth?

Yes, and it's one of our favorite parts of the night. The photo booth lives inside a vintage camper, and it's included with every venue rental. Guests tend to pile in once the dancing starts.

What do we need to bring in?

Everything outside the location fee comes from third-party vendors: your planner, the tent, tables, chairs and linens, catering and bar, florals, photography and officiant. Since the reception is out in the pasture, all sound systems and lighting need to be brought in, and a restroom trailer is booked separately. Your planner can help line these up, and EventWorks is our preferred rentals partner.

The property

Where can we have our ceremony?

You have a few options. The edge of the pond is a favorite, with the water catching the light behind the arch. The open pasture and the tree line are beautiful too. We'll walk each one on your tour.

Is there a place to get ready?

Yes. The green room inside the main barn is yours for the day. It's a cozy spot to get ready, take a breath and have a few quiet minutes before the ceremony.

The green room inside the main barn
Are there restrooms?

A restroom trailer needs to be booked separately. Your planner can arrange it along with your other rentals.

Can we have a horse in our ceremony?

Yes, and it's included with your location fee. Horses live right here on the farm, so one can be part of your entrance or your portraits. Just let us know ahead of time so we can plan for it.

Can we take photos by the river?

Yes. The farm has its own access to the Harpeth River. It's a great place to slip away for a few minutes after the ceremony, and it gives your photographer a completely different backdrop.

Your guests

How many guests can you host?

Up to 200 guests. You'll size your tent to your guest count, so a smaller wedding never feels empty.

Can we have a DJ or a live band?

Absolutely. We can accommodate a DJ or a full live band under the tent. Just plan on bringing in the sound system and lighting.

Where do guests park?

Right here on the farm. Parking is on site, and we'll map it out once your ceremony and reception spots are set so guests have an easy walk.

How far is it from Nashville?

About 35 minutes west of Nashville. Close enough for an easy drive, and far enough out to feel like the country. The address is 1010 Dozier Boat Dock Rd, Charlotte, TN 37036.
